about what i wanted... : TMS 650 LB Adjustable Universal Fit 2 Bars Utility Ladder Truck Pick up Rack Kayak Contractor PR
basically bought it for hauling a canoe. it is as advertised and seems to be well made. it was easy to install once i got started. i ran into a couple of problems that were nothing major. my pickup is a 1999 ford f-150 xtended cab with a bed liner. under the rail of the bed it was in the way and had to be dealt with. the other problem was the bolts...i should say nuts, or nut that was missing. also the set screws had one missing. in joining the cross pieces i had trouble with the rear. inside where the tap screw had been welded in there was some weld inside the tube that kept the cross piece from entering past it. i had to file it down. all part of the problems you have with a prefab product, but to have made it myself would have taken a lot more work. for the money it seems to be a solid product and i believe i'll be happy with it.
